Inspired by Edward Snowdon's revelations of public surveillance by the NSA, and his consequential evasion of the United States Government using hotels as refuge - Curious as to how he has managed to keep his location secret, Hotel.de wanted to create a graphic that offers hints and tips on how to keep your privacy private and protect yourself from the every prying eyes of the NSA and other government agencies.
I was tasked with finding engaging content to capture the very essence of the task in hand - which lead us down some very interesting avenues of inquiry. After a rigorous content creation process the design followed a isometric themed layout and illustration style, using soft colour to help soften the tone of the graphic as the very nature of the subject matter is quite serious.
Designed for Hotel.de and translated into German, Italian, Spanish and French.
